Flexible Rates
Many guests want to confirm their hotel stay with the flexibility to cancel or change their booking dates in the event that their plans change. Of course last minute cancellations make it difficult for boutique hotels to fill vacant rooms canceled close to the check in dates. So for this reason we have created our Flexible rates. You can cancel or change your bookings up until 14 days before your check in date and get a full refund. We believe this is a fair approach to giving our guests the flexibility they need. In summary:
- Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total stay (including taxes) is required at the time of booking.
- If you cancel or change your booking up to 14 days before your check in date you will receive a full refund of the 50% deposit made on booking.
- If you cancel within 14 days of your check in date, the 50% deposit is not refundable
- Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due at check-in and becomes non-refundable at that time.
Non-Refundable Rates
For guests who are confident in their travel plans, we offer an exclusive Non-Refundable Rate, allowing you to secure your preferred dates, room, and rate at a lower price. In exchange for this special rate, the booking is fully non-refundable and cannot be modified or canceled. This option is ideal for those who have set travel plans and want to lock in the best available rate while ensuring their stay at our hotel.
By selecting this rate, you agree to these conditions and enjoy exclusive savings on your stay.
- With our Non-Refundable rate plan, 100% of the total booking stay (including taxes) is charged at the time of booking.
- Cancellations and refunds are not permitted with this rate.
However, we understand that plans can change, and we want to ensure our guests feel valued and treated fairly therefore:
- We do allow one date change to be made up to 30 days prior to check in (subject to availability and room rate pricing differences to be charged.)
Holiday Season (Dec 20 – Jan 3):
- Minimum Stay: 3 nights
- 100% of the stay (including taxes) is charged when you book.
- This rate is non-refundable and non-modifiable.
General Hotel Policies
- Age: At Mi Amor we accept guests aged 16 years and above only.
- Changes: Booking modifications are subject to availability and potential rate adjustments.
- No Shows: No refunds will be issued for no-shows, late arrivals, or early checkouts.
- Service Charge: A 3.5% service charge will be added to your room rate to be passed on to our back-of-house staff who often do not get to share in tips left for our guest facing staff. .
- Pets: Pets are not permitted in the hotel or restaurant
Liability & Force Majeure
Mi Amor and its staff cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Transport delays or cancellations.
- Natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or acts of war or terrorism.
- Electrical or WIFI outages, unforeseen maintenance issues, or construction disturbances.
- Personal health issues or missing travel documentation.
- In the event of forced closure, we will transfer your booking to another Colibri Boutique Hotel in Tulum, subject to availability.
In these Force Majeure circumstances, any cancellations will follow our normal Cancellation Policies outlined above. We strongly advise all of our guests to take out Travel Insurance prior to traveling.
